Why Use Your Fintwist Card

The Fintwist card is a free*, easy way to get paid faster and manage your money safely — no bank account needed.

How to Use Your Card for Free

Your Fintwist card has no monthly fees — and avoiding other fees is easy if you follow a few simple tips:

  • Use your card at the merchant. Your card is free to use as credit or debit without any additional fees.
  • Never check your balance at an ATM. Use the free Fintwist mobile app, sign up for text alerts, or call the number on the back of your card.

  • Need cash? Get it with a PIN purchase and cash back at the register, or by withdrawing from a bank teller.

Use only in-network ATMs through Allpoint to incur fewer withdrawal fees at ATMs. Find nearby ones in the Fintwist app under Menu > ATM Locator or at allpointnetwork.com.


Modivcare Specific Guidelines

  • Name changes, merging accounts, or address changes – please contact Claims at (800) 930-9060 or support.claims@modivcare.com
  • Keep your card! Your card is a tool to access funds, just like having a bank account. It is reloadable and rechargeable. Do not throw away once the balance is $0. You might need it again.
  • Activate your card – call Fintwist Customer Service at (888) 265-8228 and use the activation code provided to activate your card. Additional instructions provided in the FAQ below.
  • Locate your account reference number – sign in through the Fintwist web or app, and click on “direct funding” to view your account and routing number

  • Payment Discrepancies – Contact Claims, not Corpay, at (800) 930-9060 or support.claims@modivcare.com for any payment discrepancies.
  • Using your card for gas – pay inside, not at the pump, when purchasing gas to avoid a large hold.
  • Need a new card? Call Fintwist Customer Service at (888) 265-8228 to request one.
    • Your first replacement card is free!
    • If you need a second replacement card, you will be charged a fee of $5.00.

Here are some frequently asked questions about your Fintwist card. Still not getting the answer you need? Call our support line at (888) 265-8228

To activate your Fintwist Prepaid Mastercard, you’ll need an activation code, which for Modivcare is 12345. 
  1. Call 888.265.8228.
  2. Press “1” for English or “2” for Spanish.
  3. The system will ask you to enter your 16-digit card number from the front of your card. When finished press the “#” key.
  4. Enter the activation code: Your activation code is provided by your employer.
  5. The system will ask you to enter a 4-digit PIN number of your choice (example: 4605) You will need this PIN when using your card to make a debit purchase and for ATM transactions. Only you should know your PIN. Do not share the PIN number with anyone else and do not write the PIN number on your card.
  6. The system will ask you to enter the expiration date, which is on the front of your card (example: 09/20).
  7. The system will ask you for the 3-digit security code on the back of your card, to the right of the signature line.
  8. The system will now tell you that your card is activated.
  9. Always know your card balance. Sign up for text message alerts! Receive a text every time funds are loaded or subtracted from your card.

 

There are different ways you can check your balance but what is most important to point out is how you should NOT check your balance at an ATM, even an in-network ATM, as this will incur a fee.

 

To check your balance and not incur a fee you can:

  1. Download the Fintwist mobile app from the Apple or Google Play store. You can check your balance at any time by looking at the mobile app.
  2. Call the number on the back of your card, follow the prompts, and hear your available balance.
  3. Sign up for text alerts. After every purchase, your available balance and transaction will be texted to you.

You should immediately call cardholder support at 1-888-265-8228 and file a dispute with our support line.

 

What happens after I file a dispute?

  • Once a fraud dispute has been filed you will be notified in 10 business days.
  • The communication notice will contain an approval or a denial notice.
  • If you receive an “approval” notice your account will be credited accordingly.
  • If you receive a “denial” notice and the reason is due to insufficient evidence, you may request a reinvestigation of your case but you will be required to provide supporting documentation that will assist in the reevaluation. You will attach your documents to the original email which was received from the Fraud/Disputes team and reply with your request.
  • You will only need to send a reinvestigation request once, please do not send multiple requests for the same fraud dispute as you may experience an additional delay.

Not on your mobile phone? No problem. Navigate to the Apple or Google Play store on your phone and search for “Fintwist.” You will see an app with the Fintwist F as the icon. Click this option and download!

Receive text messages when money is added to your card and after each time you approve a transaction. You will get transaction details including balance with each text message! To enroll you can call 1.888.265.8228 to enroll.

Our most common fees are ATM withdrawal and balance inquiry fees.

 

ATMs

When you use an ATM to get cash, you will incur a fee. In incur fewer fees, use an in-network ATM. On the Fintwist mobile app, you can navigate to Menu > ATM Locator and it will show you all the in-network ATMs closest to you. You can also visit allpointnetwork.com to view all of their locations.

 

Checking Your Balance

When checking your balance it’s important to NOT use an ATM regardless if it’s in-network or not as doing so will incur a fee. Use the Fintwist mobile app to check your balance instead as it’s an easy way to always know how much is in your account and since it’s on your phone you can access it at any time. You can also sign up for our text alerts so that you’re notified after every purchase of what your balance is. Lastly, you can call the number on the back of your card and receive your balance that way.

 

There are many ways to avoid fees, if you’re curious on what all fees are associated with your Fintwist card, you can reference your fee schedule that came with your card or your employer should have a copy.

On the Fintwist mobile app, you can navigate to Menu > ATM Locator and it will show you all the in-network ATMs closest to you. You can also visit allpointnetwork.com to view their locations. Reminder that not all Allpoint ATMs are in-network. We recommend using ATMs at Target, CVS, Walgreens, and Speedways.

Yes, you can use your Fintwist card for gas! Pay inside, not at the pump to avoid a large hold on your card.

If your card was stolen or lost you can use the Fintwist mobile app to suspend your card and then report it as lost or stolen. On the home screen of your app you will see “Manage Cards” click this and then toggle on the button next to “Suspend Card” this will make it to where your card is not usable. Then you will want to click on “Report Lost/Stolen” so that you can get a replacement card.
