Speed things up a bit during tax season (through April 15th) by getting your refund deposited right onto your Fintwist paycard instead of waiting on a check. The process is quick, easy and beneficial to you.
Asking the government to do something quickly is the same as asking a tree to grow quicker – it’s probably not going to happen. Speed things up a bit during tax season (through April 15th) by getting your refund deposited right onto your Fintwist paycard instead of waiting for a check. The process is quick, easy and beneficial to you.
How do I get my tax refund through direct deposit?
1. First, locate your direct deposit information. You can find your direct deposit info (account number and routing number) through the Fintwist Mobile App or by logging into your account at www.fintwistsolutions.com and selecting “Direct Funding Info.” If you are unable to locate your numbers via app or website, give us a call at (888)265.8228.
2. Second, verify that the IRS has your current and updated direct deposit information. Visit the IRS Stimulus Website (website will soon be announced) to check and update your account number and routing number.
3. Third, wait for your direct deposit from the Federal Government.
Important notes about your tax refund:
A tax refund may only be direct deposited into an account that is in your name. This means that if you file a joint return, the name of the primary filer must match the name on the account. If a tax refund is directed to an account that is not in your name it may be rejected and returned to the IRS.
No more than three electronic refunds can be deposited into a single financial account or prepaid card. If you exceed this limit you will receive notice from the IRS and a paper check refund.
Your paycard can hold up to $9,999. If your tax refund will put your balance above this number, you should opt for a paper check or call customer service to verify your card load limit.
What happens after you file your tax return:
First, the IRS must review and accept your tax return. When the IRS has approved your tax return, you will usually receive an email notification from the platform you used to file your taxes.
Next, the IRS will set the date on which your tax refund will be sent to your account. You can find this date by using the IRS’s Where’s My Refund tool.
Because direct deposits take 2-3 business days to process, your tax refund will appear in your account approximately 2-3 business days after the date that the IRS sends your tax refund to Fintwist.
If your tax return is rejected by the IRS
You’ll receive an email notification from the IRS explaining why your return was rejected.
Next, you’ll want to follow the instructions in the email exactly or contact the IRS to re-file your tax return.
