Paycards offer you so many modern conveniences – from shopping and paying your bills online, to having a Netflix® account, to sending money electronically with Venmo®. Venmo allows you to send money to your friends or family and quickly transfer money to your paycard after someone pays you, for a $0.25 fee.

So, you want to know how to use Venmo with your Fintwist paycard? There are only two requirements:

1. You must be physically located in the United States

2. You must have a U.S. cell phone that can send/receive text messages from short codes

How to Set Up Venmo with Your Fintwist Paycard 

Follow along with the instructions below to set up your Venmo account:

1. Download one of Venmo’s mobile apps: iOS or Android

2. Open the Venmo app on your mobile device

3. Choose your sign-up method and create a secure password (between 8 and 32 characters long)

4. Verify your phone number and email address – without a verified phone number you will not be able to transfer funds to your bank account or send/request payments.

5. Add and verify your bank account

6. Please note: Venmo will have you verify your mobile number by sending a short code to your phone. You must provide the code in your app in order to start using Venmo. Please follow along with the prompts when asked.

Well… You have a Fintwist paycard, not a bank account. What should you do? To add your Fintwist paycard to your Venmo account, read on:

1. Open the Venmo app on your mobile device

2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper left-hand corner of the app

3. Tap “Settings”

4. Tap “Banks & Cards”

How to Transfer Money to Your Fintwist Paycard 

If you want to be able to transfer money to your Fintwist Paycard, follow these instructions:

1. Once you’re in “Banks & Cards” tap “Link Bank Account”

2. Scroll to the bottom and tap “Other”

3. Enter your Fintiwst card routing number and account number – don’t know how to find it? Check out this helpful guide!

4. Confirm your account number by entering it again

5. Tap “Save and continue”

6. At this stage in the process, Venmo transfers $0.02 into your banking account and pulls it back out. This typically takes a few days – this is a standard routing and account number verification between banks

7. If you want to transfer the money to your bank, tap on “Transfer to Bank”

8. Select the amount you would like to transfer

9. Choose if you would like an instant transfer ($0.25 charge from Venmo) or a standard transfer which takes 1-3 business days (no charge)

10. Tap next

11. Tap confirm transfer

Boom! Money right to your Fintwist paycard!

How to Set Up Sending Money from your Fintwist Paycard 

If you want to be able to send payments, follow these instructions:

1. Once you’re in “Banks & Cards” tap “Add Debit or Credit Card”

2. Enter your Fintwist paycard number, expiration date, security code (three numbers on the back of your paycard), and zip code (use the zip code associated with your paycard)

3. Tap “Add Card”

How to Pay Someone from Your Fintwist Paycard

Your Fintwist paycard information is saved to your Venmo account, but you want to send money to your friend. What do you do now? Read below:

1. Verify you are on home page – this serves as your timeline or news thread of all payments being sent between your friends.

2. Once you are on the home page, tap on the note with a pencil icon in the upper right-hand corner.

3. Add who you would like to pay or request from someone by searching their name, Venmo username, phone number or email address.

4. Type in the amount you would like to pay or request from someone, write a note (if you want!)

5. Tap “pay” if you would like to pay that person

6. Tap “request” if you would like to request the money from that person
